Teclast SSD Review
Teclast SSD Review
The teclast ssd is a hard drive made by a company you probably haven't heard of.teclast ssd It's advertised as a SATA SSD with speeds of up to 520MB/s read and 450MB/s write, which puts it at the peak of what current SATA III connections can manage. It also promises to be affordable, costing around $115 (about PS60 / AU$150) from the company's Alibaba store.
An SSD is a solid-state drive, which has no moving parts and can therefore read data much more quickly than a traditional hard disk. They're usually faster and more reliable than HDDs, which can suffer from slowdowns over time due to fragmentation. They also consume less power than HDDs and have more advanced features such as TRIM support, cache, error correction, and garbage collection.
Many SSD makers provide mean time between failure (MTBF) statistics, which help you gauge how dependable a product is. Teclast doesn't, but it does promise that each of its drives undergoes stringent tests including 48 hours of reading and writing and booting the machine with them installed 250 times. This should give home users some confidence that it's a dependable option. However, business users might feel more comfortable with a more established brand such as Samsung.
